Thresholds are boundaries between inner and outer spaces; spaces that beckon and entice us to “cross over”, to enter a place that can be both welcoming and foreboding. Often, the pleasant places of daytime become dangerous, uncanny places when darkness falls.

Writing Prompt #16

Your protagonist is led to a place called Wildnerness Hall. It’s high summer and he/she happily accepts the invitation. As darkness falls he/she catches a glimpse of a half-human-half-animal form darting past the open window.
