JCC Mini-Reading Report
For writers
It's hard to ask for feedback. It feels awkward to send your work out for critical evaluation, especially, when you're not sure if it's any good. Family and friends are a great starting point. They'll respond to your writing with words of encouragement and let you guage how your writing might be received in the wider world. However, if you're serious about writing and want to develop your writing style and voice, you'll benefit from a professional critique and mentoring programme.
Before you commit to working with JCC you can request a mini-reading report of your writing.
What is it?
A quick but efficient way to determine if we might work together.
What do you do?
Submit a maximum of 10 double-spaced pages from the beginning of your novel or a short section of your work-in-progress
via the Contact Page.
What happens next?
Janette will contact you to let you know it's arrived and compile a mini-reading report that outlines the strengths and weaknesses of your writing.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. There is no charge and you are under no obligation to do anything else. This 'first contact' initial critique is FREE.
What will you get?
Within 48 hours of receipt of your manuscript/writing you will receive by email a mini-reading report. [Postal submission/exchanges can be arranged]
What happens next?
It's up to you. At all times you stay in control of your writing. Together, we will consider next steps once you've read and digested the mini-reading report.
